The Shoe Market of the Americas (SMOTA)

Coronavirus Update for the ALLURE/SMOTA 2020 JUNE 28-29 SHOE SHOW

Dear Exhibitors and Buyers,

After careful reflection of the situation in Florida, the United States, The Caribbean, and the World, due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to Officially Cancel our Allure/SMOTA Shoe Show scheduled for
June 28-29, 2020.

While we will remain optimistic that travel bans and social distancing restrictions in the USA will be lifted by June, the possibility of having our Show in June does not seem feasible or prudent. Every company in our industry has been dealing with this situation individually, and we believe June will be a period of recovery and re-building. Officially cancelling the June Show will allow buyers and exhibitors as well as SMOTA to plan for our recovery. Making it possible to reorganize and re-schedule our Shoe Show for a future date in September/October. To be announced as soon as possible.

The need for a future show, together with the eventual lifting of travel restrictions and “stay at home” orders, will allow all of us to focus our attention for now on our own business activities while planning to come together in a successful way on our next show.

Our thoughts are with everyone in the footwear community as we navigate through these uncharted times. Thank you for your attention to this important subject. We look forward to be together in Miami in September/October 2020.

Stay Safe and Stay Healthy,

Elias Ergas
President Of The Board Shoe Market Of The Americas
